A one-of-a-kind, hand-built ceramic platter featuring a hand-painted folk-inspired scene of a babushka standing beside a horse. The central illustration is drawn in expressive blue lines, with soft washes of ochre and terracotta that give the piece a nostalgic, almost folkloric quality.

The platter is framed by a hand-painted decorative border inspired by Romanian motifs, combined with the warm, sun-baked colours of the Mediterranean — sandy yellow, ochre, terracotta and muted blue. This combination brings together two important influences within Tanushka’s work: Romanian heritage and the warmth, colour and atmosphere of the Mediterranean.

The visible brushstrokes, irregularities and subtle variations are intentional, giving the platter the character of an individually made object rather than a mass-produced piece.

A decorative piece made to be displayed, collected and lived with.
